Anyone can purchase a Maghound Gift Membership for their friends, family, coworkers, children's school teachers, BFFs and frienemies. The Gift Buyer simply purchases a desired dollar amount which is then applied as a credit to the Recipient's account when the gift is redeemed. The Recipient gets to choose the number of magazines desired and the specific titles. Monthly charges are automatically deducted until the gift credit runs out. The length of the gift membership will be determined based on the recipient's selections. MAGHOUND Memberships make terrific gifts since the Recipients always choose their favorite magazines; the Gift Buyer has no guesswork.
No, you do not need to be an active MAGHOUND member to purchase a gift. Simply click on Gift Center at the top of any page to get started. During the gift purchase process, you will be required to create a username/password so that we can confirm your purchase and allow you to track your gifts
Yes. Existing MAGHOUND members can easily apply any gift credits to their current accounts. Simply click on the Gift Center at the top of any page to purchase a gift.
For each gift you purchase you have the opportunity to personalize your message and send an email announcement immediately or on a specified date in the future. You also have the option of printing the gift announcement so you can deliver it personally.
Gift memberships can be given in any dollar amount, starting at $20 and up to $250. Our Membership Pricing Guide provides recommendations based on average MAGHOUND memberships.
Yes. All MAGHOUND gifts must be redeemed (not fully consumed) within one year from the date of purchase. If the gift that you purchased expires and has not been redeemed, you will be given the opportunity to reissue the gift or to apply it to your own account. You can also request a refund for unredeemed gifts by contacting Customer Care.
If you do not want MAGHOUND to store your credit/debit card for future gift purchases, please contact Customer Care at 1-800-206-9095 for assistance with canceling your account and removing your card information from our system.
A credit card is required in the event that your gift membership amount only covers a partial month of service when your gift credit reaches a zero balance. Your card will be charged for the remaining amount for that month. For your convenience, your membership will automatically continue to avoid any interruption in your service. Of course, there is never a commitment to continue, you can cancel your membership at anytime.
You can log into your account at any time and visit your Membership Overview to see how much of your gift you've used and how much you have left.
Yes. If you receive a MAGHOUND gift membership and already have an account, simply click on the Redeem link in your email announcement or visit the Gift Center and enter your redemption code. After clicking Apply Gift, your monthly charges will automatically be deducted from your gift balance until your gift reaches a zero balance. At that point, we'll revert back to charging your credit/debit card on file.
When your gift credit reaches a zero balance we will automatically start charging your credit/debit card on file. It is possible that there will be one month where a portion of your charge will be applied to your gift credit and the remaining balance will be charged to your credit/debit on file. Remember, at any point you can visit your Membership Overview to see how much of your gift you've used and how much you have left.
Yes. All new members get to enjoy their first month of magazines free upon redeeming your gift membership. After the free month, monthly charges will automatically be deducted form the gift credit until it reaches a zero balance.
